The "Mending Booth" was initially designed for a group exhibition based on the theme of clothing that was organized by Name 10 Parts of the Body Collective. The exhibition "In the Seam" was mounted in major shopping centres in downtown Toronto and Montreal. In 1997 it became the driving force for an exhibition with Marcus Miller, Suzanne Miller and Allan Paivio at Gallery 101 in Ottawa. Here Marcus Miller did much of the mending and according to his ability the variety of items that were accepted were broadened. In 2015 I reactivated it as a "Mending Party" for a Nuit Blanche event in London ON.
