Art installation wall in textile museum made of used clothing
Attic
1,200 lbs. of folded used clothing, wood stud wall, wire
183 x 277 inches (464.8 x 703.6 cm)
2002

The upper floor of a textile museum in an 18th century house was blocked off with a wall made out of folded worn clothing that I built around an original set of beams. The clothes absorbed sound and changed the aural quality of the space.

"Attic" was designed for a two person exhibition "L'envers du vetement" curated by Danielle Lord, with artist Naomi London, for Marsil Museum in St. Lambert Quebec.
