"coke dump" demonstration developed in conjunction with "drop out" an installation of empty coke cans arranged on the floor in a "peace and love" pattern. The first time I showed the work was with a group of Canadian artists in an Parisian suburban art college. There was no recycling depot and I couldn't find enough discarded cans to make my installation. In desperation I purchased flats of Coke for the sake of the cans. With the aid of the students we all drank as much as we could but in the end needed to dump it The sheer waste set us in a kind of frenzy.
