Freedom
America is a European idea. Born of Dutch hard work, French enlightenment and Russian pogroms, it promises a new world free from the perversions of civilization. Never quite the cockaigne of legend, America nevertheless operates as a self-fulfilling dream. The flag painted across Peter Fonda’s motorcycle, continues to be a volatile and site of contention.

"Freedom" was constructed into a corner of the furniture section of The Salvation Army Thrift Store for Used/Goods organized by the Cut Rate Collective in Montreal.
