"I fell asleep," was installed in two locations: on the second floor of a partially condemned studio building (pictured here) and the Anna Leonowens Gallery at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University. It was on view at the gallery for two weeks and 'abandoned' in the condemned building. The work was built in the fall of 1989 and photographed here in the spring of 1990.

"I fell asleep" was rebuilt using clothing from local thrift stores for "Depoteque" a group exhibition in a storage space organized by Daneca Jojich in Montreal in 1990 and in 2004 for "Strands of Fabrication" curated by Jill Larson at Fe Gallery in Pittsburgh USA.
